01 "An Act relating to release in domestic violence cases."                                                                
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 12.30.027(b) is amended to read:                                                                   
04            (b)  A court shall prohibit [MAY NOT ORDER OR PERMIT] a person                                           
05       released under (a) of this section from returning [TO RETURN] to the residence of                             
06       the alleged victim or the residence of a petitioner who has a protective order directed                           
07       to the person and issued or filed under AS 18.66.100 - 18.66.180 if                                           
08                 (1)  the person is charged with or convicted of a crime involving                                   
09       domestic violence listed in AS 18.66.990(3)(A) or (D) other than criminally                                   
10       negligent burning; and                                                                                        
11                 (2)  the person and the alleged victim are household members as                                     
12       defined in AS 18.66.990(5)(A) - (D).
