00 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 201 01 Authorizing the Senate or the House of Representatives to recess for periods longer than 02 three days during special sessions. 03 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 WHEREAS art. II, sec. 10, Constitution of the State of Alaska, provides that neither 05 house may adjourn or recess for longer than three days unless the other house concurs; and 06 WHEREAS Rule 52, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, provides that 07 adoption of a concurrent resolution by a majority vote of the full membership of each house 08 constitutes concurrence; 09 BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that, during any special session 10 of the Twenty-Fourth Alaska State Legislature that is convened after the Second Regular 11 Session, the Senate or the House of Representatives may be in recess for one or more periods 12 longer than three days, as independently determined by that house; and be it 13 FURTHER RESOLVED that, under art. II, sec. 10, Constitution of the State of 14 Alaska, each house concurs in each recess by the other during any special session of the 15 Twenty-Fourth Alaska State Legislature that is convened after the Second Regular Session.
