01 "An Act relating to rights of crime victims."                                                                           
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 12.61.010 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04            (c)  Notwithstanding the definition of the term "victim" in AS 12.61.900, for                                
05       purposes of the rights provided in (a)(2) of this section, when a defendant is alleged to                         
06       have committed a felony offense involving the manufacture or delivery of a controlled                             
07       substance in violation of AS 11.71 on private property, the term "victim" includes an                             
08       adjacent landowner or tenant if that landowner or tenant requests notification. The                               
09       request for notification may be made in person or by mail, electronic mail, or                                    
10       telephone.
