01 "An Act relating to the video recording and audio recording by a business of the inside                                 
02 or outside of its business location."                                                                                   
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 45.45 is amended by adding a new section to article 11 to read:                                   
05            Sec. 45.45.940. Business video recording and audio recording. (a) A person                                 
06       who is engaged in a business at a location that is open to the public may not make a                              
07       video recording or an audio recording of the person's business customers on the inside                            
08       or outside of the business premises unless the person has posted on the premises a sign                           
09       stating that the person is making the video recording or audio recording.                                         
10            (b)  The sign required by (a) of this section must be at least 11 inches by 14                               
11       inches in size, and the lettering must be at least one-half inch high and in a contrasting                        
12       color to the rest of the sign.                                                                                    
13            (c)  A person who violates (a) of this section is guilty of a class B                                        
14       misdemeanor.
