01 "An Act relating to tourist accommodations permits and to penalties for failing to                                      
02 comply with permitting requirements; removing a requirement that persons operating                                      
03 tourist accommodations post certain laws and regulations on the premises; and                                           
04 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
05 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
06    * Section 1. AS 18.35.080 is amended to read:                                                                      
07            Sec. 18.35.080. Penalty for noncompliance. A person who fails to comply                                    
08       with AS 18.35.010 - 18.35.090 [, EXCEPT AS 18.35.040,] or the regulations adopted                                 
09       under those sections, upon conviction, is punishable by a fine of not more than $100,                             
10       or by imprisonment in a jail for not more than 30 days, or both.                                                  
11    * Sec. 2. AS 18.35.040, 18.35.050, 18.35.070; and AS 44.64.030(a)(16) are repealed.                                
12    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
