00 SENATE BILL NO. 362 01 "An Act amending the definition of 'lobbyist' in the Regulation of Lobbying Act; and 02 providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 24.45.171(8) is amended to read: 05 (8) "lobbyist" means a person who 06 (A) engages in the business, occupation, or profession of 07 influencing legislative or administrative action; or 08 (B) receives wages or other economic consideration, including 09 reimbursement of travel and living expenses, to communicate directly with any 10 public official 11 (i) for the express purpose of influencing legislative or 12 administrative action; and 13 (ii) during more than 20 [40] hours in any 30-day 14 period in one calendar year;
