00 SENATE BILL NO. 194 01 "An Act authorizing delivery of up to two bottles of distilled spirits to a cruise ship 02 passenger or hotel guest." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 04.11.150(i) is amended to read: 05 (i) A package store license authorizes the licensee to deliver not more than 06 two bottles of wine or champagne and not more than two bottles of distilled spirits 07 in a gift basket with a floral arrangement to a cruise ship passenger or a hotel guest. 08 The wine, [OR] champagne, or distilled spirits for delivery may be purchased from a 09 package store licensee by a florist or gift basket establishment with a state business 10 license that designates the business as a florist or gift basket establishment. The 11 package store licensee shall keep on file a copy of the Alaska business license of a 12 florist or gift basket establishment to which the licensee sells wine, [OR] champagne, 13 or distilled spirits for delivery to third persons by the package store. The package 14 store must keep a written record of each delivery made under this subsection for a

01 period of at least one year, including the name of the business purchasing the wine, 02 [OR] champagne, or distilled spirits and the name of the person to whom the delivery 03 is made. A delivery under this subsection must be made by the licensee or an 04 employee or agent of the licensee who has completed alcohol server training as 05 required under AS 04.21.025. The board shall issue a permit to each licensee 06 authorized to deliver wine, [OR] champagne, or distilled spirits under this subsection 07 and may by regulation impose an administrative fee for the cost of issuing the permit.
