01 "An Act relating to the fee for a state business license; and providing for an effective                                
02 date."                                                                                                                  
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 43.70.030(a) is amended to read:                                                                  
05            (a)  The [LICENSE] fee for each business license [IS $25] per year is                                
06                 (1)  $100 if the business is a sole proprietorship;                                                 
07                 (2)  $300 if the business is not a sole proprietorship; the businesses                              
08       covered by this paragraph include a corporation, limited liability company,                                   
09       partnership, limited liability partnership, and limited partnership.                                          
10    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2003.
