01 "An Act relating to tampering with public records."                                                                     
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 11.56.815(a) is amended to read:                                                                  
04            (a)  A person commits the crime of tampering with public records in the first                                
05       degree if the person violates                                                                                     
06                 (1)  AS 11.56.820(a)(3) with intent to obtain a benefit for that person or                          
07       any person or to injure or deprive another person of a benefit; or                                            
08                 (2)  AS 11.56.820(a)(1) or (2) with the intent to conceal a fact                                    
09       material to an investigation or the provision of services under AS 47.10, AS 47.12,                           
10       AS 47.17, or AS 47.24.
