00 HOUSE BILL NO. 429 01 "An Act expanding the definition of 'political party' to include a party that nominated a 02 candidate for United States senator who received at least three percent of the total votes 03 cast for United States senator at the preceding general election and a party that 04 nominated a candidate for United States representative who received at least three 05 percent of the total votes cast for United States representative at the preceding general 06 election." 07 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 08 * Section 1. AS 15.60.010(21) is amended to read: 09 (21) "political party" means an organized group of voters that 10 represents a political program and that meets at least one of the following criteria: 11 (A) the group [EITHER] nominated a candidate for governor 12 who received at least three percent of the total votes cast for governor at the 13 preceding general election;

01 (B) the group nominated a candidate for United States 02 senator who received at least three percent of the total votes cast for 03 United States senator at the preceding general election; 04 (C) the group nominated a candidate for United States 05 representative who received at least three percent of the total votes cast 06 for United States representative at the preceding general election; or 07 (D) the group has registered voters in the state equal in 08 number to at least three percent of the total votes cast for governor at the 09 preceding general election;
