00 HOUSE BILL NO. 274 01 "An Act relating to the hours during which sale of alcohol and entry on licensed 02 premises are allowed; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 04.16.010(a) is amended to read: 05 (a) A person may not sell, offer for sale, give, furnish, deliver, or consume an 06 alcoholic beverage on premises licensed under this title between the hours of 07 (1) 3:00 [5:00] a.m. and 10:00 [8:00] a.m. on Saturday or Sunday; 08 and 09 (2) 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on every other day of the week [EACH 10 DAY]. 11 * Sec. 2. AS 04.16.010(b) is amended to read: 12 (b) A licensee, an agent, or an employee may not permit a person to consume 13 alcoholic beverages on the licensed premises between the hours of 14 (1) 3:00 [5:00] a.m. and 10:00 [8:00] a.m. on Saturday or Sunday;

01 and 02 (2) 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on every other day of the week [EACH 03 DAY]. 04 * Sec. 3. AS 04.16.010(c) is amended to read: 05 (c) A licensee, an agent, or an employee may not permit a person to enter and 06 a person may not enter premises licensed under this title between the hours of (1) 3:00 07 [5:00] a.m. and 10:00 [8:00] a.m. on Saturday or Sunday; and (2) 2:00 a.m. and 08 10:00 a.m. on every other day of the week [EACH DAY]. This subsection does not 09 apply to common carriers or to an employee of the licensee who is on the premises to 10 prepare for the next day's business. A person may enter or remain on the premises of a 11 bona fide restaurant or eating place licensed under this title to consume food or 12 nonalcoholic beverages. 13 * Sec. 4. This Act takes effect July 1, 2003.
