01 "An Act making appropriations for the design and construction of a youth detention                                      
02 facility in Kenai; and providing for an effective date."                                                                
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  The sum of $250,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Department                          
05 of Health and Social Services for design of a youth detention facility in Kenai.                                        
06    * Sec. 2.  The sum of $4,400,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Department of                        
07 Health and Social Services for construction of a youth detention facility in Kenai.                                     
08    * Sec. 3.  The appropriations made by this Act are for a capital project and lapse under                           
09 AS 37.25.020.                                                                                                           
10    * Sec. 4.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
