01 "An Act increasing quality school funding grants for public schools; and providing for                                  
02 an effective date."                                                                                                     
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 14.17.480(a) is amended to read:                                                                  
05            (a)  As a component of public school funding, a district is eligible to receive a                            
06       quality school funding grant not to exceed the district's adjusted ADM multiplied by                              
07       $52 [$16].  The department shall by regulation establish a grant process to implement                         
08       this section.                                                                                                     
09    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
