HCR 19: Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, concerning Senate Bill No. 176; prohibiting certain coercive activity by distributors, relating to certain required distributor payments and purchases; prohibiting distributors from requiring certain contract terms as a condition for certain acts related to distributorship and ancillary agreements; allowing dealers to bring certain court actions against distributors for certain relief; and exempting from the provisions of the Act franchises regulated by the federal Petroleum Marketing Practices Act, situations regulated by the Alaska Gasoline Products Leasing Act, and distributorship agreements relating to motor vehicles required to be registered under AS 28.10.

00 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 19 01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State 02 Legislature, concerning Senate Bill No. 176; prohibiting certain coercive activity by 03 distributors, relating to certain required distributor payments and purchases; 04 prohibiting distributors from requiring certain contract terms as a condition for certain 05 acts related to distributorship and ancillary agreements; allowing dealers to bring 06 certain court actions against distributors for certain relief; and exempting from the 07 provisions of the Act franchises regulated by the federal Petroleum Marketing Practices 08 Act, situations regulated by the Alaska Gasoline Products Leasing Act, and 09 distributorship agreements relating to motor vehicles required to be registered under 10 AS 28.10. 11 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 12 That under Rule 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the provisions of 13 Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, regarding

01 changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of Senate Bill No. 176, 02 prohibiting certain coercive activity by distributors; relating to certain required distributor 03 payments and purchases; prohibiting distributors from requiring certain contract terms as a 04 condition for certain acts related to distributorship and ancillary agreements; allowing dealers 05 to bring certain court actions against distributors for certain relief; and exempting from the 06 provisions of the Act franchises regulated by the federal Petroleum Marketing Practices Act, 07 situations regulated by the Alaska Gasoline Products Leasing Act, and distributorship 08 agreements relating to motor vehicles required to be registered under AS 28.10.
