01 "An Act relating to the power of a school board to take legal action."                                                  
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 14.14 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                 
04            Sec. 14.14.095.  School board powers.  A school board may sue or be sued,                                  
05       including using a restraining order, injunction, or other legal remedy, to enforce school                         
06       safety or to protect a student, teacher, employee, volunteer, or parent from being                                
07       threatened or placed in danger.
