01 "An Act relating to health insurance rates and rating organizations."                                                   
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 21.39.020 is amended to read:                                                                     
04            Sec. 21.39.020.  Applicability.  (a)  This chapter applies to all forms of health                      
05       insurance, casualty insurance, including fidelity, surety, and guaranty bonds, to all                         
06       forms of fire, marine, and inland marine insurance, and to a combination of any of                                
07       them, or risks or operations in this state.  Inland marine insurance includes insurance                           
08       defined by statute, or by interpretation of statute, or if not defined or interpreted, by                         
09       ruling of the director, or as established by general custom of the business, as inland                            
10       marine insurance.                                                                                                 
11            (b)  This chapter does not apply to                                                                          
12                 (1)  reinsurance, other than joint reinsurance to the extent stated in                                  
13       AS 21.39.110;                                                                                                     
14                 (2)  [HEALTH INSURANCE;                                                                                 
15                 (3)]  insurance of vessels or craft, their cargoes, marine builders' risks,                             

01       marine protection and indemnity, or other risks commonly insured under marine, as                                 
02       distinguished from inland marine, insurance policies;                                                         
03                 (3) [(4)]  insurance against loss of or damage to aircraft or against                               
04       liability, other than workers' compensation and employer's liability, arising out of the                          
05       ownership, maintenance, or use of aircraft, [;] or [,] to insurance of hulls of aircraft,                     
06       including their accessories and equipment.
