01 "An Act establishing July 3 as Drunk Driving Victims Remembrance Day."                                                  
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                 
04            Sec. 44.12.090.  Drunk Driving Victims Remembrance Day.  Drunk Driving                                     
05       Victims Remembrance Day is established on July 3 of each year to commemorate the                                  
06       individuals who died as a result of a traffic accident involving a drunk driver.  The                             
07       governor shall issue a proclamation to commemorate the day and shall direct that the                              
08       Alaska flag be flown at half-mast on that day.  The day may be observed by suitable                               
09       observances and exercises by civic groups and the public.
