AS 14.17.470 is amended to read: 05 Sec. 14.17.470. Base student allocation. The base student allocation is 06 $4,055 [$3,940]. 07 * Sec. 2. AS 14.17.470 is amended to read: 08 Sec. 14.17.470. AS 14.17.480(a) is amended to read: 06 (a) As a component of public school funding, a district is eligible to receive a 07 quality school funding grant not to exceed the district's adjusted ADM multiplied by 08 $65 [$16]. The department shall by regulation establish a grant process to implement 09 this section. 10 * Sec. 7. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 11 read: 12 TRANSITION: REGULATIONS. Notwithstanding sec. 9 of this Act, the state Board 13 of Education and Early Development may immediately proceed to adopt regulations 14 necessary to implement the changes made by this Act. The regulations take effect under 15 AS 44.62 (Administrative Procedure Act), but not before the effective date of the statutory 16 changes made by secs. 1 and 6 of this Act. 17 * Sec. 8. Section 7 of this Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c). 18 * Sec. 9. Sections 1 and 6 of this Act take effect July 1, 2001. 19 * Sec. 10. Section 2 of this Act takes effect July 1, 2002. 20 * Sec. 11. Section 3 of this Act takes effect July 1, 2003. 21 * Sec. 12. Section 4 of this Act takes effect July 1, 2004. 22 * Sec. 13. Section 5 of this Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
