00 HOUSE BILL NO. 129 01 "An Act relating to lifetime state park developed campsite permits." 02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 03 * Section 1. AS 41.21.026(d) is amended to read: 04 (d) The department shall issue free of charge to (1) Alaska residents 60 years 05 of age or older, or (2) disabled veterans of this country a lifetime [AN ANNUAL] 06 state park developed campsite permit. The permit shall allow an Alaska resident 60 07 years of age or older or a disabled veteran to use a state park developed campsite for 08 personal recreation use without a charge or fee under (a)(2) of this section. While 09 utilizing a developed campsite without charge under this subsection, the Alaska 10 resident 60 years of age or older or disabled veteran shall comply with all other 11 statutes or regulations pertaining to the use of the developed campsite. The 12 department shall provide a form for use by an Alaska resident 60 years of age or 13 older or a disabled veteran when applying for a permit under this section. Not later 14 than February 1 of each year, the department shall prepare a report on the number of 15 permits issued to Alaska residents 60 years of age or older and to disabled veterans

01 under this subsection during the previous calendar year and on the number of 02 permits outstanding and notify the legislature that the report is available.
