00SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 5 am H                                                                               
01 Authorizing two recesses by the Senate and the House of Representatives for                                             
02 periods of more than three days.                                                                                        
03 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                              
04  WHEREAS art. II, sec. 10, Constitution of the State of Alaska, provides that neither                                 
05 house may adjourn or recess for longer than three days unless the other house concurs; and                              
06  WHEREAS Rule 52, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, provides that                                        
07 adoption of a concurrent resolution by a majority vote of the full membership of each house                             
08 constitutes concurrence;                                                                                                
09  BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the Senate and the House of                                      
10 Representatives may be in recess during February 27 and 28 and during March 1 and 2 of                                  
11 1999, and that each house concurs in this four-day recess by the other; and be it                                       
12  FURTHER RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the Senate and the                                             
13 House of Representatives may be in recess during April 2, 3, 4, and 5 of 1999, and that each                            
14 house concurs in this four-day recess by the other.
