00CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 269(FIN) 01 "An Act relating to the deadline for the submission of collective bargaining 02 contracts between the state and a labor or employee organization representing 03 state employees to the legislature." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. AS 23.40.215(b) is amended to read: 06 (b) The Department of Administration shall submit the monetary terms of an 07 agreement to the legislature within 10 legislative days after the agreement of the 08 parties, if the legislature is in session, or within 10 legislative days after the convening 09 of the next regular session. The final contract shall be submitted to the legislature 10 no later than the 45th day of the legislative session to receive legislative 11 consideration during that calendar year. The legislature shall advise the parties by 12 concurrent resolution if it approves or disapproves of the monetary terms within 60 13 legislative days after the agreement is submitted to the legislature. The approval of 14 the monetary terms of an agreement under this subsection is a nonbinding, advisory
01 expression of legislative intent. If within 60 legislative days after the agreement is 02 submitted the legislature advises the parties by concurrent resolution that it disapproves 03 the monetary terms of the agreement, the parties may resume negotiations.
