00SENATE BILL NO. 211 01 "An Act relating to the membership of the State Board of Registration for 02 Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 08.48.011(b) is amended to read: 05 (b) The board consists of 11 [10] members appointed by the governor having 06 the qualifications as set out in AS 08.48.031. The board consists of two civil 07 engineers, two land surveyors, one mining engineer, one electrical or mechanical 08 engineer, one engineer from another branch of the profession of engineering, two 09 architects, one landscape architect, and one public member. 10 * Sec. 2. Section 31, ch. 47, SLA 1998 is repealed. 11 * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect July 1, 2000, or on the date the State Board of Registration 12 for Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors issues certificates of registration under AS 08.48 13 as a landscape architect, whichever is later. 14 * Sec. 4. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section
01 to read: 02 NOTIFICATION. The Department of Community and Economic Development shall 03 notify the lieutenant governor and the revisor of statutes of the date the State Board of 04 Registration for Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors issues certificates of registration 05 under AS 08.48 as a landscape architect.
