00HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 30                                                                                         
01 Proposing amendments to the Constitution of the State of Alaska repealing                                               
02 provisions relating to the constitutional budget reserve fund and providing that the                                    
03 balance in the fund be deposited into the budget reserve fund established by                                            
04 statute.                                                                                                                
05 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                              
06    * Section 1.  Article XV, Constitution of the State of Alaska, is amended by adding a new                          
07 section to read:                                                                                                        
08  Section 30.  Disposition of Constitutional Budget Reserve Fund Balance.                                             
09 On the effective date of the 2000 amendment repealing provisions relating to the                                        
10 constitutional budget reserve fund (art. IX, sec. 17), the balance in the fund shall be                                 
11 deposited into the budget reserve fund established by statute.                                                          
12    * Sec. 2.  Article IX, sec. 17, Constitution of the State of Alaska, is repealed.                                  
13    * Sec. 3.  The amendments proposed by this resolution shall be placed before the voters of                         
14 the state at the next general election in conformity with art. XIII, sec. 1, Constitution of the                        

01 State of Alaska, and the election laws of the state.
