00HOUSE BILL NO. 336 01 "An Act increasing the eligible maximum amount for quality school grant funding 02 for school districts; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 14.17.480(a) is amended to read: 05 (a) As a component of public school funding, a district is eligible to receive 06 a quality school funding grant not to exceed the district's adjusted ADM multiplied by 07 $52 [$16]. The department shall by regulation establish a grant process to implement 08 this section. 09 * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 10 to read: 11 TRANSITION: REGULATIONS. The Department of Education and Early 12 Development may proceed to adopt regulations necessary to implement this Act. Regulations 13 to implement a provision of this Act take effect under AS 44.62 (Administrative Procedure 14 Act), but not before the effective date of sec. 1 of this Act.
