01 "An Act repealing required registration for mobile home dealers; and providing                                          
02 for an effective date."                                                                                                 
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1.  AS 08.88.900(a)(20) is amended to read:                                                              
05   (20)  a mobile home dealer [LICENSED UNDER AS 08.67                                                                  
06 PERFORMING WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE DEALER'S LICENSE]; or                                                                
07    * Sec. 2.  AS 08.01.010(23); AS 08.67.010, 08.67.020, 08.67.030, 08.67.040, 08.67.050,                             
08 08.67.060, 08.67.070, and 08.67.080 are repealed.                                                                       
09    * Sec. 3.  TRANSITION.  On the effective date of this Act, a bond filed with the                                   
10 Department of Commerce and Economic Development as required by AS 08.67.050 shall be                                    
11 returned to the person who filed the bond.  However, if a civil action is brought against the                           
12 bond before the effective date of this Act, the bond, or the unused portion of it, may not be                           
13 returned until final resolution of the civil action.                                                                    
14    * Sec. 4.  This Act takes effect July 1, 1999.
