01 "An Act relating to the crime of misprision of a crime against a child."                                                
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
03    * Section 1.  AS 11.56 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                 
04  Sec. 11.56.765.  Misprision of a crime against a child.  (a)  A person                                              
05 commits the crime of misprision of a crime against a child if the person witnesses                                      
06 another committing sexual abuse of a minor or the murder, kidnapping, assault                                           
07 punishable as a felony, or sexual assault of a child under 18 years of age and does not                                 
08 immediately report that crime to a peace officer or law enforcement agency.                                             
09  (b)  Misprision of a crime against a child is a class C felony.
