00HOUSE BILL NO. 14                                                                                                     
01 "An Act relating to driver license records of certain children."                                                        
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
03    * Section 1.  AS 28.15.151(c) is amended to read:                                                                  
04  (c)  The department shall, upon request, subject to the applicable provisions of                                      
05 AS 12.62 and (f) of this section , (1)  [AND] without charging a fee, furnish a                                       
06 municipal, state, or federal administrative or judicial agency with a certified abstract                                
07 of the driving record of a driver ; and (2) upon payment of a fee determined by the                                    
08 commissioner, furnish a parent or guardian of a driver who is under 18 years of                                         
09 age and not an emancipated minor an abstract of the driving record of that                                              
10 driver .  The abstract must include a listing of accidents in which the driver has been                                
11 determined by the department or a court of competent jurisdiction to have been liable,                                  
12 convictions of vehicle, driver, and traffic offenses, any actions taken upon the driver's                               
13 license, and information relating to financial responsibility.
