01 "An Act providing for the forfeiture of good time sentence credits of sex                                               
02 offenders who fail to successfully complete sex offender treatment programs."                                           
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1.  AS 33.20 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                 
05  Sec. 33.20.045. Forfeiture for failure to successfully complete sex offender                                         
06 treatment program.  (a)  The commissioner shall forfeit all of the good time                                           
07 deductions that a prisoner is entitled to under AS 33.20.010 for an offense if                                          
08   (1)  the offense is a sex offense; and                                                                               
09   (2)  the prisoner fails to successfully complete a rehabilitation or                                                 
10 treatment program for that sex offense that the prisoner has been ordered to participate                                
11 in or complete by the sentencing court or by the commissioner and the program has                                       
12 been made available to the prisoner by the department.                                                                  
13  (b)  In this section, "sex offense" has the meaning given in AS 12.63.100.
