01 "An Act relating to the relocation to Ketchikan of certain offices, functions, and                                      
02 employees of the Alaska marine highway system."                                                                         
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 19.65 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                   
05     Sec. 19.65.005.  Marine highway system based in Ketchikan.  The                                                    
06 headquarters of the Alaska marine highway system is located in Ketchikan.  The                                          
07 commissioner of transportation and public facilities shall locate in Ketchikan the                                      
08 offices of (1) the system director and deputy director of the marine highway system,                                    
09 (2) the manager of marine operations, (3) the manager of support services, (4) the                                      
10 manager of engineering, and all other offices, functions, and employees of the marine                                   
11 highway system, except those whom the commissioner determines must be located                                           
12 outside of Ketchikan in order to operate the marine highway system.                                                     
13    * Sec. 2.  The provisions of sec. 1 of this Act do not affect a collective bargaining                                
14 agreement entered into on or before the effective date of this Act.
