01 "An Act relating to vocational education."                                                                              
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
03    * Section 1.  AS 14.07.020(a)(4) is amended to read:                                                               
04   (4)  prescribe by regulation a minimum course of study for the public                                                
05 schools; the regulations must provide that  to qualify for graduation from high school                                 
06 that at least two hours of vocational education must be completed and that,  if a                                      
07 course in American Sign Language is given, the course shall be given credit as a                                        
08 course in a foreign language;
