01 "An Act relating to child-in-need-of-aid proceedings."                                                                  
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
03    * Section 1.  AS 47.10.010 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
04  (f)  The court may not find a minor to be a child in need of aid under this                                           
05 section solely on the basis that the child's family is poor, lacks adequate housing, or                                 
06 lives a lifestyle that is different from the generally accepted lifestyle standard of the                               
07 community where the family lives.  However, this subsection may not be construed to                                     
08 prevent a court from finding that a child is in need of aid if the child has been                                       
09 subjected to conduct or conditions described in (a) of this section.
