00SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 36 01 Suspending Uniform Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e) of the Alaska State 02 Legislature concerning House Bill No. 4, relating to the permanent fund dividend 03 program. 04 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 That under Rule 54 of the Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the 06 provisions of Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e) of the Uniform Rules, regarding changes to the 07 title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of House Bill No. 4, so that the title may be 08 changed to read: 09 "An Act relating to absences from the state for the purposes of permanent fund dividend 10 eligibility; relating to the following allowable absences: receiving secondary or 11 postsecondary education on a full-time basis, receiving vocational, professional, or other 12 specific education on a full-time basis for which a comparable program is not reasonably 13 available in the state, serving on active duty as a member of the military of the United 14 States, receiving certain medical treatment, accompanying a minor who is receiving

01 certain medical treatment, providing care for a parent, spouse, sibling, child, or stepchild 02 with a life-threatening illness who is being treated at a medical specialty complex outside 03 the state, providing care for a terminally ill parent, spouse, sibling, child, or stepchild, 04 settling the estate of a deceased parent, spouse, sibling, child, or stepchild, serving as a 05 member of the Congress, serving on the staff of a member of the Congress from this 06 state, serving in the Peace Corps, serving as an employee of the state, actively 07 participating on a United States national athletic team, accompanying another eligible 08 resident as the spouse, minor dependent, or disabled dependent of the eligible resident, 09 and for any reason consistent with the individual's intent to remain a resident; requiring, 10 for the purposes of permanent fund dividend eligibility, an individual who is not 11 physically present in the state to maintain and demonstrate at all times an intent to 12 return to the state to remain permanently; relating to the eligibility for 1992, 1993, 1994, 13 1995, and 1996 permanent fund dividends of certain spouses and dependents of eligible 14 applicants; and providing for an effective date."
