01 "An Act relating to the authority of the Department of Natural Resources to                                             
02 allow credits against fees at state historical parks."                                                                  
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  The Department of Natural Resources may allow credits against fees due the                             
05 department under AS 41.21.026 for payments made by commercial tour operators to                                         
06 municipalities for projects that will mitigate or alleviate access, congestion, and parking                             
07 problems at state historical parks.  To be eligible for a credit under this section, a project must                     
08 be approved by the department and must result in the conveyance of property to the state or                             
09 the improvement of state property.                                                                                      
10    * Sec. 2.  Section 1 of this Act is repealed December 31, 2000.
