01 "An Act relating to the grounds for revoking or suspending a dental license and                                         
02 for the imposition of other disciplinary sanctions by the Board of Dental                                               
03 Examiners; and providing for an effective date."                                                                        
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  AS 08.36.315 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                            
06  (b)   Notwithstanding other provisions of this section and AS 08.01.075, the                                          
07 board  may not revoke or suspend a license of a dentist, including a specialty                                          
08 license, or reprimand, censure, or otherwise impose a disciplinary sanction solely                                      
09 on the basis that a licensee's practice is unconventional or experimental unless the                                    
10 board finds demonstrable physical harm to a patient.                                                                    
11    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
