00SENATE BILL NO. 106 01 "An Act prohibiting the employment of minors at striptease businesses." 02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 03 * Section 1. AS 23.10.330(b) is amended to read: 04  (b) Notwithstanding AS 23.10.335 - 23.10.350, a minor of any age may be 05 employed as a performer in the entertainment industry. The provisions of AS 06 23.10.335 - 23.10.350 and AS 23.10.360(a) and 23.10.360(c) concerning times, hours, 07 or days of work do not apply to the employment of a minor as a performer in the 08 entertainment industry. The department may adopt regulations to implement this 09 subsection. In this subsection, a "performer in the entertainment industry" means a 10 performer in advertisements and television, film, radio, and theater productions but 11 does not include employment at a striptease business under AS 23.10.350(f) 12 regardless of the nature of the work. 13 * Sec. 2. AS 23.10.350 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 14  (f) A minor under the age of 18 may not be employed or allowed to work at

01 a striptease business. In this subsection, "striptease business" means a business at 02 which one or more individuals are employed to, wholly or in part, or permitted to, 03 entertain others by removing clothes or other items that clothe or hide the person's 04 body.
