00HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 1 01 Establishing a House Special Committee on Economic Development. 02 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES: 03 WHEREAS economic development is of vital importance to the economy of the state; 04 and 05 WHEREAS the legislature should remain well-informed about the business climate 06 of the state; and 07 WHEREAS the state must promote business opportunities within the state; 08 BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives that a House Special Committee 09 on Economic Development is established to study opportunities for future economic 10 development of the state's resources; and be it 11 FURTHER RESOLVED that the speaker of the House of Representatives shall 12 determine the number of representatives to be members of the committee, and shall appoint 13 the members and designate a member to chair the committee; and be it 14 FURTHER RESOLVED that the House Special Committee on Economic
01 Development may meet during and between sessions of the Nineteenth Alaska State 02 Legislature, and is terminated on the convening of the First Session of the Twentieth Alaska 03 State Legislature.
