IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution of 05 the State of Alaska; and providing for an effective date." 06 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 07 * Section 1. (a) The sum of $696,527,188 is appropriated from the budget reserve fund 08 (art. IX, sec. 17, Constitution of the State of Alaska) to the Department of Education for the 09 purposes expressed and allocated in the amounts listed for operating expenditures for the fiscal 10 year ending June 30, 1996: 11 PURPOSE ALLOCATION AMOUNT 12 Foundation program $629,938,000 13 Child nutrition/student lunch program 22,000,000 14 Cigarette tax distribution 2,668,100

01 that appropriated to the Department of Education for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996, 02 from any of the following fund sources for any of the following purposes: 03 (1) fund sources: general fund /mental health income account (AS 37.14.036), 04 public school trust fund (AS 37.14.110), school fund (AS 43.50.140), and federal receipts; 05 (2) purposes: foundation program, child nutrition/student lunch program, 06 cigarette tax distribution program, tuition students program, boarding home grants program, 07 youth in detention program, pupil transportation program, schools for the handicapped 08 program, community schools program, and additional district support program. 09 * Sec. 2. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution 27 of the State of Alaska. 28 * Sec. 4. Except for sec. 2 of this Act, this Act takes effect July 1, 1995. 29 * Sec. 5. Section 2 of this Act takes effect July 1, 1996.
