01 "An Act exempting schools from certain fees charged by the Department of                                                
02 Environmental Conservation; and providing for an effective date."                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS  44.46.025  is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
05  (d)  Notwithstanding (a) of this section, the department may not charge a fee                                         
06 for  inspection, permit preparation and administration, plan review and approval, or                                    
07 other services provided by the department under AS 03.05 or AS 44.46.020(5) to a                                        
08 school. In this section, "school" means a public school or private school for children                                  
09 of school age, as defined in AS 14.03.070.                                                                              
10     * Sec. 2.   This Act takes effect July 1, 1995.
