01 "An Act relating to immunization records for children under the age of seven."                                          
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 18.50.230(b) is amended to read:                                                                    
04  (b)  The funeral director or person acting as the funeral director who first                                          
05 assumes custody of a dead body shall file the death certificate.  In the case of the                                   
06 death of a child who is under the age of seven, the death certificate must be                                           
07 accompanied by a record of the dates, if any, on which the child was immunized                                          
08 against diseases, the name and type of each vaccine administered, the name of                                           
09 each vaccine's manufacturer, and each vaccine's lot and batch number.  The                                             
10 funeral director or the person acting as the funeral director shall obtain the personal                                 
11 data and immunization record from the next of kin or the best qualified person or                                     
12 source available and the medical certification of cause of death from the person                                        
13 responsible for this information.
