01 "An Act prohibiting the possession of child pornography."                                                               
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 11.61 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                   
04  Sec. 11.61.127.  POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.  (a)  A person                                                      
05 commits the crime of possession of child pornography if the person possesses any                                        
06 material that visually or aurally depicts conduct described in AS 11.41.455(a) knowing                                  
07 that the production of the material involved the use of a child under 18 years of age                                   
08 who engaged in the conduct.                                                                                             
09  (b)  This section does not apply to persons providing plethysmograph                                                  
10 assessments in the course of a sex offender treatment program that meets the minimum                                    
11 standards under AS 33.30.011(6).                                                                                        
12  (c)  Possession of child pornography is a class B misdemeanor.
