00SENATE BILL NO. 229                                                                                                     
01 "An Act making an appropriation for the construction of a dormitory at the                                              
02 University of Alaska Anchorage; and providing for an effective date."                                                   
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  The sum of $28,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the                                    
05 University of Alaska for the planning, design, construction, and furnishing of a 600 bed                                
06 dormitory at the Anchorage campus of the University of Alaska.                                                          
07    * Sec. 2.  The appropriation made by this Act is for a capital project and lapses under                              
08 AS 37.25.020.                                                                                                           
09    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect July 1, 1994.
