01 "An Act relating to real property transfers."                                                                           
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 09.65 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                   
04  Sec. 09.65.160.  INNOCENT MISREPRESENTATIONS BY AGENTS IN                                                             
05 REAL PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS.  The agent of a transferor or transferee is not                                             
06 liable for an innocent misrepresentation in information provided to the transferee in the                               
07 transfer of an interest in real property if the agent does not have personal knowledge                                  
08 of the error, inaccuracy, or omission that is the basis for the misrepresentation.                                      
09    * Sec. 2.  This Act does not apply to causes of action that accrue before the effective date                         
10 of this Act.
