The appropriations made by this Act are contingent upon the enactment into law
01 of a bill passed by the Eighteenth Alaska State Legislature that establishes a matching grant 02 program for school construction and maintenance. 03 * Sec. 3. In sec. 1 of this Act, "qualified projects" means those projects within a senate 04 district or group of senate districts for which funds are appropriated that 05 (1) have been approved by the state Board of Education under AS 14.11.005 - 14.11.017; and 06 (2) have the highest priority ranking under AS 14.11.015 among otherwise 07 unfunded projects within the district or districts that can be completed with the amount of 08 funds available for grants in the district or districts. 09 * Sec. 4. The appropriations made by this Act are for capital projects and lapse under 10 AS 37.25.020. 11 * Sec. 5. This Act takes effect July 1, 1993.
