01 "An Act relating to police reporting of offenses involving domestic violence."                                          
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 44.41.020(c) is amended to read:                                                                    
04  (c)  The department shall establish, and may require state and local law                                              
05 enforcement agencies to use, standardized methods of collecting and recording law                                       
06 enforcement and crime statistics.  The department shall require state and local law                                    
07 enforcement agencies to state on the report or record of incident response                                              
08 whether domestic violence was involved in the offense or incident.  In this section,                                    
09 "domestic violence" has the meaning given in AS 18.65.520.
