00SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 364(STA) 01 "An Act relating to contributions from permanent fund dividends; and providing 02 for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. CONTRIBUTIONS FROM PERMANENT FUND DIVIDENDS. (a) 05 Notwithstanding AS 43.23.069, the Department of Revenue shall prepare the permanent fund 06 dividend application to allow an applicant to elect to have $10 subtracted from the applicant's 07 dividend for contribution to the Iditarod Trail Committee, Inc., to be used by the committee 08 for conducting dog mushing races and promoting the state sport, and to be used by the 09 Department of Revenue for administrative costs incurred by the department in implementing 10 this section. Contributions shall be deposited in an Iditarod Trail Committee contribution 11 account. In accordance with an appropriation for the purpose, the department shall use money 12 in the account to pay for the administrative costs incurred by the department in implementing 13 this section. The balance in the account shall be delivered by the department to the Iditarod 14 Trail Committee, Inc., at least every six months.

01 (b) Notwithstanding AS 43.23.069, the Department of Revenue shall prepare the 02 permanent fund dividend application to allow an applicant to elect to have $10 subtracted from 03 the applicant's dividend for contribution to the Alaska children's trust fund (AS 37.14.200) 04 and to be used by the Department of Revenue for administrative costs incurred by the 05 department in implementing this section. Contributions shall be deposited in an Alaska 06 children's trust fund contribution account. In accordance with an appropriation for the 07 purpose, the department shall use money in the account to pay for the administrative costs 08 incurred by the department in implementing this section. The balance in the account shall be 09 deposited by the department in the Alaska children's trust fund at least every six months. 10 (c) Notwithstanding AS 43.23.069, the Department of Revenue shall prepare the 11 permanent fund dividend application to allow an applicant to elect to have $10 subtracted from 12 the applicant's dividend for contribution to the Alaska Public Radio Network and to be used 13 by the Department of Revenue for administrative costs incurred by the department in 14 implementing this section. Contributions shall be deposited in an Alaska Public Radio 15 Network contribution account. In accordance with an appropriation for the purpose, the 16 department shall use money in the account to pay for the administrative costs incurred by the 17 department in implementing this section. The balance in the account shall be delivered by the 18 department to the Alaska Public Radio Network at least every six months. 19 (d) Notwithstanding AS 43.23.069, the Department of Revenue shall prepare the 20 permanent fund dividend application to allow an applicant to elect to have $10 subtracted from 21 the applicant's dividend for contribution to the organizing committee of the Arctic Winter 22 Games to be used by the committee for promotion and hosting of the Arctic Winter Games, 23 and to be used by the Department of Revenue for administrative costs incurred by the 24 department in implementing this section. Contributions shall be deposited in an Arctic Winter 25 Games contribution account. In accordance with an appropriation for the purpose, the 26 department shall use money in the account to pay for the administrative costs incurred by the 27 department in implementing this section. The balance in the account shall be delivered by the 28 department to the organizing committee of the Arctic Winter Games at least every six months. 29 (e) This section applies only to dividends for 1995, 1996, and 1997. 30 * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 1995.
