01 "An Act relating to mining activities in the Yakataga State Game Refuge and                                             
02 to the Yakataga area plan."                                                                                             
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 16.20.033(c) is amended to read:                                                                    
05  (c)  The department shall permit timber harvest activities in the area east of the                                    
06 Kaliakh River, and mineral and coal entry and development activities throughout                                        
07 the Yakataga State Game Refuge, when the activities are not inconsistent with (b)(1)                                   
08 of this section.                                                                                                        
09    * Sec. 2.  The commissioner of natural resources shall revise and update the area plan for                           
10 the Yakataga area required under sec. 4, ch. 143, SLA 1990, to take account of the                                      
11 amendment of AS 16.20.033(c) by sec. 1 of this Act.  The revised and updated plan shall be                              
12 delivered to the legislature by December 31, 1995.
