00CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 60(FIN) 01 "An Act making appropriations for capital projects; and providing for an effective 02 date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. Federal or other program receipts as defined under AS 37.05.146 that exceed 05 the amount appropriated in secs. 4 and 5 of this Act are appropriated conditioned upon 06 compliance with the program review provisions of AS 37.07.080(h). 07 * Sec. 2. The sum of $400,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Department 08 of Revenue to replenish the contingency funds expended as the result of construction cost 09 overruns on the state courthouse located in the City of Kenai. 10 * Sec. 3. (a) The sum of $2,561,300 is appropriated from the general fund to the following 11 departments for the purposes and in the amounts stated: 12 DEPARTMENT AND PURPOSE APPROPRIATION 13 Department of Administration for Alaska Public 14 Broadcasting Commission satellite interconnection

01 planning $100,000 02 Department of Education for a statewide data 03 management system 100,000 04 Department of Health and Social Services for 05 administrative services E-mail 40,000 06 Department of Labor for workers' compensation 07 records imaging 383,800 08 Department of Commerce and Economic Development 09 for data processing system enhancement 400,000 10 Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs for 11 emergency operation center enhancements 430,000 12 Department of Public Safety for a statewide law 13 enforcement data processing system 900,000 14 Alaska Court System for an imaging system 207,500 15 (b) An appropriation made by (a) of this section may not be expended until the office 16 of management and budget certifies that the project is consistent with the recommendations 17 from the Telecommunications Information Council after completion of the council's studies 18 begun in the fiscal year ending June 30, 1993. A department that receives an appropriation 19 made by (a) of this section shall report to the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee on the 20 status of the project for which the appropriation was received no later than December 1, 1993. 21 (SECTION 4 OF THIS ACT BEGINS ON PAGE 3)
