01 "An Act relating to frequent traveler credit for state-paid travel."                                                    
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 23.40.075 is amended to read:                                                                       
04  Sec. 23.40.075.  ITEMS NOT SUBJECT TO BARGAINING.  The parties may                                                    
05 not negotiate terms contrary to                                                                                         
06   (1)  the reemployment rights for injured state employees under                                                       
07 AS 39.25.158; [OR]                                                                                                      
08   (2)  the reemployment rights of the organized militia under                                                          
09 AS 26.05.075; or                                                                                                       
10   (3)  the mileage credit and termination provisions of AS 39.20.155.                                                 
11    * Sec. 2.  AS 39.20 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                      
12  Sec. 39.20.155.  MILEAGE CREDIT.  (a)  An employee may not accept from                                                
13 a transportation provider mileage credit for travel with the provider if                                                
14   (1)  the employee is traveling on business for the state agency that                                                 

01 employs the employee; and                                                                                               
02   (2)  the state agency pays the provider for the travel charge, advances                                              
03 the travel charge to the employee, or reimburses the employee for the travel charge.                                    
04  (b)  If an employee violates (a) of this section, the state may terminate the                                         
05 employee from state employment.
