01 "An Act establishing the month of June as LGBTQ Pride Month."                                                           
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to article 2 to read:                                     
04 Sec. 44.12.185. LGBTQ Pride Month. The month of June each year is                                                     
05 established as LGBTQ Pride Month. LGBTQ Pride Month may be observed by                                                  
06 schools, community groups, and other public and private agencies and individuals                                        
07 with appropriate activities to honor and recognize the contributions made by lesbian,                                   
08 gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals in the history of this state and the                                  
09       United States.
