01 "An Act relating to early hunting seasons for certain disabled veterans."                                               
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 16.05.255 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04 (l)  The Board of Game shall establish in regulations adopted under (a)(2) of                                           
05 this section a week-long early season opening in each hunting area for veterans who                                     
06 have received the Purple Heart medal and for veterans who are certified by the United                                   
07 States Department of Veterans Affairs as having incurred a 50 percent or greater                                        
08       disability rating during military service.
